Sleeping Well system is C.A.R.B. ApprovedIn 2008, the California Air Resources Board passed bylaws that all sleeper berth vehicles were no longer allowed to idle during periods of sleep and rest in the state of California. The Sleeping Well is C.A.R.B. compliant, allowing drivers to remain comfortable without having to idle the truck engine. Get $1,000/unit rebate from Ontario GovernmentThe Ontario Ministry of Transportation has launched the Green Commercial Vehicle Program (GCVP) as of November 28, 2008. Under the program, the Ontario Government has made available $2.9 million for eligible anti-idling devices for class 8 vehicles.
Ontario based trucking companies installing anti-idling devices such as the Sleeping Well 12V A/C system are eligible for funding from the Ontario government for up to 33% of the capital cost of the equipment to a maximum of $1,000 per unit with a maximum cap of $350,000 per fleet.
The GCVP is a four year program starting August 2007 until March 31, 2012, or until the maximum approved funding for the GCVP has been reached, whichever comes first. Applications are being accepted on a first come first served basis. The Ministry will begin reviewing applications on January 9, 2009.
